Technical Engineering Advisor (TEA)
Location: Mumbai/ Pune
About the Role
We are looking for Technical Engineering Advisors (TEA) who can combine strong manufacturing and engineering knowledge with excellent communication skills. This role involves providing real-time technical guidance on manufacturing feasibility, process selection, and engineering solutions while interacting with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle technical queries from customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Recommend manufacturability improvements and suitable manufacturing processes
- Support operational teams in resolving technical issues
- Provide practical engineering solutions in real-time
Experience Required
3-8 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Manufacturing / Production Engineering
- Design Engineering
- DFM (Design for Manufacturing)
- Quality Engineering
- Application Engineering
- Technical Support Roles
- BPO / KPO roles with technical exposure
- Customer-facing engineering roles
Educational Qualification
Preferred:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production, or Industrial Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Manufacturing Engineering with relevant experience and strong communication skills
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (CNC machining, sheet metal, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Basic understanding of GD&T
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Fluent English communication skills (C1 level mandatory)
Preferred Experience
- Customer-facing engineering roles
- Supplier interaction and quality management exposure
- Technical support or engineering services experience
