Job Title: OT Staff Nurse (Operation Theatre Nurse)

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled OT Staff Nurse to provide comprehensive nursing care in the Operation Theatre. The candidate will assist surgeons and anesthetists during surgical procedures, maintain OT protocols, ensure patient safety, and uphold infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Operation Theatre for scheduled surgeries.
- Assist surgeons, anesthetists, and other healthcare professionals during surgical procedures.
- Ensure availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments and equipment.
- Maintain sterile techniques and infection control practices.
- Prepare patients pre-operatively and provide post-operative care as required.
- Monitor and document patient conditions during procedures.
- Handle OT records, consumables, and inventory management.
- Coordinate with CSSD, wards, ICU, and other departments for smooth OT functioning.
- Adhere to NABH, NMC, and hospital policies and protocols.
- Participate in emergency surgeries and on-call duties as assigned.
Qualification
- B.Sc Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc Nursing / GNM.
- Valid Tamil Nadu Nursing Council Registration.
Experience
- Freshers can apply.
- Experience in Operation Theatre preferred.
- Candidates with exposure to General Surgery, Orthopaedics, OBG, ENT, Ophthalmology, Urology, or Laparoscopic surgeries will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of OT procedures and aseptic techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
- Basic knowledge of surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Patient-centered approach and professional conduct.
