About Us
Vedansh Impex Pvt. Ltd. (VIPL) is a Mumbai-based import–export and e-commerce consultancy founded in 2019. We are the trusted gateway for international brands and overseas sellers entering the Indian market — managing regulatory compliance, customs clearance, Importer on Record (IOR) services, and Amazon India onboarding. We run tight, accurate, and audit-ready operations for every client we serve.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Executive to independently own our core accounting, tax, and compliance work. You will manage book-keeping, GST filings and reconciliation, TDS, and import-cost accounting end-to-end — ensuring accuracy, timely filings, and clean month-end and year-end closes. You will also be a point of quality control for junior team members. This role suits someone who is confident owning the numbers, up to date on GST and TDS, and comfortable coordinating with auditors and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently maintain accurate books of accounts in Tally, including day-to-day transactions, ledgers, and journal entries.
- Own end-to-end GST compliance — prepare and file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, complete GSTR-2A/2B reconciliation, resolve mismatches, and ensure multi-state compliance.
- Handle TDS end-to-end — calculation, deduction, timely deposit, and quarterly return filing (26Q/27Q), along with issuing certificates.
- Manage import-cost accounting — recording customs duties, freight, and clearing charges against shipment documentation, and reconciling landed costs.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, vendor payments, and follow-up on outstanding items.
- Perform and review bank, vendor, and ledger reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage e-invoicing and ensure invoices are generated, validated, and recorded correctly.
- Support and review settlement and payment working, ensuring amounts are computed and mapped accurately per client SOPs.
- Lead monthly and year-end closing activities and prepare schedules for audit.
- Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and internal teams; support statutory filings and assessments.
- Review the work of junior accounting staff and help strengthen and document accounting processes.
Requirements
- B.Com or equivalent degree in Accounting, Commerce, or Finance.
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience in accounts and finance.
- Strong, independent working knowledge of Tally.
- Hands-on experience with GST — return preparation, filing, and 2A/2B reconciliation.
- Proven ability in TDS calculation, deduction, deposit, and return filing.
- Strong MS Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliations).
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and month-end close.
- High attention to detail, ownership, and the ability to meet filing and closing deadlines.
Good to Have
- Experience in import–export or e-commerce accounting.
- CA Inter / CMA (pursuing or completed).
- Exposure to multi-state GST operations and e-invoicing systems.
- Experience coordinating with auditors and handling assessments.
What We Offer
- An ownership-driven role at the core of the finance function in an international-trade business.
- Broad, hands-on exposure to GST, TDS, import-cost accounting, and end-to-end compliance.
- A clear path to grow into a senior finance / accounts-lead position.
- A detail-driven, collaborative team that values accuracy and long-term thinking.
