About the Role
Life Care Multispeciality Hospital is seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Physician (MD Medicine) to provide comprehensive medical care to patients across outpatient, inpatient, emergency, and critical care settings. The ideal candidate should possess strong clinical expertise, sound judgment, and a patient-centric approach to healthcare delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Conduct OPD consultations and evaluate patients presenting with acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad spectrum of medical illnesses.
- Provide comprehensive inpatient care and coordinate treatment plans.
- Manage medical emergencies and critically ill patients.
- Conduct regular ward rounds and ensure continuity of patient care.
- Interpret laboratory investigations, radiological findings, and other diagnostic tests.
- Coordinate referrals and consultations with specialists as required.
- Participate in emergency and on-call duties as scheduled.
Quality & Patient Care
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records and documentation.
- Ensure adherence to hospital protocols, clinical guidelines, and ethical medical practices.
- Counsel patients and families regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive healthcare, and lifestyle modifications.
- Promote patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with specialists, resident doctors, nursing staff, and allied healthcare professionals.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, audits, and continuing medical education activities.
- Mentor junior doctors and medical staff whenever required.
Required Qualifications
- MD / DNB in General Medicine from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC) / State Medical Council.
- Relevant post-MD/DNB clinical experience preferred.
- Ability to independently manage OPD, IPD, and emergency medical cases.
