Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to manage and oversee construction site execution, planning, and quality control. The role involves ensuring project work is executed as per approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and timelines, while coordinating with teams, resolving technical issues, and optimizing resource utilization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional coordination with team members, Labour agencies, clients, and consultants
- Ensure project execution is carried out as per drawings, construction standards, and specifications
- Maintain and follow execution checklists, quality registers, and safety documentation
- Identify and resolve design and construction-related issues
- Inspect steel and shuttering work, review plans/specifications, and provide technical corrective guidance
- Prepare material planning and ensure proper resource utilization
- Understand and manage resource planning and allocation
- Prepare quantity take-offs and Bar Bending Schedule (BBS)
- Plan daily Labour deployment and site activities
- Maintain shuttering materials and ensure safety standards at site
- Manage drawing registers and related documentation
- Execute micro-planning instructions provided by the Project Manager
- Optimize usage of available materials (including wastage steel) on site
Requirements
- 4–8 years of experience in civil construction and site execution.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (Required)
- Strong knowledge of construction execution, steel/shuttering work, and site planning
- Experience in quantity estimation and BBS preparation
- Ability to interpret drawings and resolve on-site technical issues
- Good coordination and communication skills with clients, consultants, and site teams
- Strong understanding of resource planning and project execution workflows
