Role Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and organized Librarian to manage the school's library resources and foster a culture of reading and research among students. The role involves maintaining library collections, assisting students and staff with information resources, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day functioning of the library.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the school library, including books, journals, and digital resources
- Issue, receive, catalogue, and organize library materials
- Assist students and staff in locating and utilizing library resources
- Promote reading habits through library activities, book fairs, and reading programs
- Maintain accurate records of library inventory and circulation
- Recommend and procure new books and educational resources in coordination with school management
- Ensure proper upkeep, discipline, and organization within the library
- Support teachers by providing relevant academic and reference materials
- Maintain digital library records and prepare periodic reports
- Assist in school events and academic initiatives related to literacy and learning
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Library Science (B.Lib.Sc./M.Lib.Sc.)
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Librarian, preferably in a CBSE school
- Knowledge of library management systems and digital cataloguing preferred
- Experience in school library administration will be an advantage
Skills Required
- Strong organizational and record management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of library classification and cataloguing systems
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and library software
- Ability to encourage reading habits and support students' academic development
Additional Expectations
- Active participation in school events and literacy initiatives
- Willingness to support academic activities beyond regular school hours when required
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and school management

Accommodation, however, will need to be arranged independently outside the campus, whether you choose to relocate alone or with your family.
