Job Description: Domain Trainer – Home Health Aide (HHA)Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Domain Trainer for the Home Health Aide (HHA) program under the DDU-GKY project. The primary responsibility is to train rural youth in the healthcare domain, equipping them with the theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and clinical competencies required to become professional Home Health Aides. The trainer will play a pivotal role in ensuring high placement readiness and compliance with DDU-GKY and Sector Skill Council (SSC) norms.
Key Responsibilities1. Training Delivery & Curriculum Management
- Deliver high-quality lectures and hands-on practical training in accordance with the Healthcare Sector Skill Council (HSSC) curriculum and DDU-GKY guidelines.
- Cover core HHA subjects including patient hygiene, basic nursing care, nutrition, vital signs monitoring, infection control, first aid, elderly care, and communication skills.
- Design and implement daily lesson plans, keeping in mind the learning pace of rural youth.
2. Practical & Lab Management
- Manage the HHA skill lab, ensuring all medical equipment, mannequins, and first-aid kits are well-maintained and utilized safely.
- Conduct intensive practical simulations so students gain confidence before their on-the-job training (OJT) or placements.
3. Assessment & Documentation
- Conduct periodic assessments, mock tests, and viva-voce to evaluate students' progress and readiness for final assessment.
- Maintain rigorous DDU-GKY compliance documentation, including daily biometric attendance logs, lesson plans, batch progress reports, and student performance portfolios.
4. Student Mentorship & Placement Support
- Mentor students to build workplace ethics, empathy, professional grooming, and standard hospital etiquette.
- Coordinate with the placement team to prepare students for interviews and guide them during their On-the-Job Training (OJT).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education:
- B.Sc. Nursing / GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) from a recognized institution.
- Alternative: BAMS / BHMS or other related allied health sciences degree with clinical experience.
- Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or home healthcare setting.
- Prior experience as a trainer in skill development schemes (DDU-GKY, PMKVY, NULM) is highly preferred.
- Certification:
- HSSC (Healthcare Sector Skill Council) certified trainer credential is a major advantage.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong command over the local language (for training rural students) along with basic English.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for reporting.
- Deep understanding of DDU-GKY project processes, audits, and compliance requirements.
