Branch In-Charge – Job Description
Purpose of the Role
To manage the overall operations of the sweet shop branch, ensure excellent customer service, achieve sales targets, maintain product quality, control costs, and lead the branch team effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Growth
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
- Increase sales through upselling and cross-selling.
- Monitor branch performance and take corrective actions.
- Promote special offers, festivals, and seasonal products.
2. Customer Service
- Ensure customers receive prompt and courteous service.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues effectively.
- Maintain high customer satisfaction and positive reviews.
3. Team Management
- Supervise and guide branch employees.
- Prepare duty rosters and manage manpower deployment.
- Conduct daily briefings and motivate staff.
- Train employees on product knowledge and service standards.
4. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels of sweets, snacks, bakery items, and packing materials.
- Minimize wastage and product expiry.
- Ensure accurate stock receipt, transfer, and reconciliation.
- Coordinate with production and warehouse teams.
5. Cash & Billing Management
- Verify daily cash collections and billing transactions.
- Ensure proper cash handling procedures.
- Prepare daily sales and collection reports.
- Monitor credit sales and settlements if applicable.
6. Quality & Hygiene
- Ensure product quality standards are maintained.
- Monitor cleanliness of the shop, display counters, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ensure employees follow grooming standards.
7. Operations & Compliance
- Ensure branch opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Maintain company policies and SOPs.
- Coordinate maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with labor, safety, and statutory requirements.
