Mobile Application Developer – Ionic / Cordova

Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Application Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Ionic and Cordova to join our team in Bangalore. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining cross-platform mobile applications for Android and iOS.
The candidate should also have strong knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, mobile APIs, Cordova plugins, REST APIs, and CI/CD practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain mobile applications using Ionic Framework and Cordova.
- Build cross-platform applications for Android and iOS.
- Work extensively with Angular, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
- Utilize the SiMPL framework for application integration and optimization.
- Integrate mobile device APIs, Cordova plugins, RESTful APIs, third-party services, and cloud platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cross-platform compatibility issues.
- Participate in software/product research and development activities.
- Contribute to technical implementation strategies, testing, and solution development.
- Follow mobile UX/UI principles and collaborate with design teams where required.
- Work with image authoring tools such as GIMP or Photoshop.
- Use source-code management tools such as Git or SVN.
- Ensure applications follow mobile SEO and accessibility best practices.
- Participate in Agile development, CI/CD, and software release processes.
- Collaborate with global and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Support technical discussions, troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Be willing to travel for short-term or long-term onsite assignments when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–6 years of professional experience in mobile application development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Ionic Framework and Cordova.
- Proven experience developing applications for Android and iOS.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Angular
- TypeScript
- JavaScript
- HTML5
- CSS
- Experience with SiMPL framework for application integration and optimization.
- Knowledge of mobile device APIs and Cordova plugin integration.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations.
- Understanding of cloud integration and mobile application deployment.
- Strong understanding of cross-platform compatibility and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Git, SVN, or similar version-control systems.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of mobile UX/UI, SEO, and accessibility principles.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).
- Experience with IBM Jazz.
- Knowledge of Agile/Lean development practices.
- Experience with Scrum, Rapid Programming, and TDD.
- Exposure to modern mobile application development and optimization practices.
