Job Title: Industrial Mechanic

Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Industrial Mechanic to ensure smooth factory operations by maintaining production machinery, minimizing downtime, improving line efficiency, and supporting production teams in achieving daily targets. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of garment manufacturing processes, machine maintenance, line balancing, productivity improvement, and production efficiency monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of sewing, finishing, and related production machinery.
- Ensure maximum machine uptime and quick resolution of technical issues.
- Support production teams in achieving daily output targets.
- Conduct line balancing and identify production bottlenecks.
- Monitor operator, line, and factory efficiency.
- Assist in time studies, SAM calculations, and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Optimize machine and manpower utilization across production lines.
- Maintain machine maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
- Coordinate with Production Manager and Factory In-Charge to improve workflow and efficiency.
- Ensure machines are properly set up and functioning according to production requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, increase productivity, and improve quality.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an apparel manufacturing unit.
- Knowledge of industrial sewing machines and garment production processes.
- Understanding of line balancing, production efficiency, SAM, and capacity planning.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair garment manufacturing machinery.
- Basic computer and MS Excel knowledge for reporting and record maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
