ABOUT M5WEALTH
M5Wealth is a cross-border wealth management infrastructure platform headquartered in London.
We work with private banks, wealth managers and family offices across major wealth centres in Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
We operate in a particularly interesting product environment. Our clients manage sophisticated businesses involving multiple asset classes, entities, custodians, partners, systems, users, regulations and geographies and the problems we encounter are rarely textbook Product Management problems. They are real business problems.
ROLE OVERVIEW
If you are someone who gets restless when a number doesn't add up, and doesn't stop until you know why, this role may be for you.
You may already be a Data Analyst, a Portfolio Operations Analyst, or a Reconciliation Specialist. Or perhaps you're on the data or integration side of a WealthTech platform, sitting in the back or middle office of a bank or wealth manager and increasingly find yourself asking questions that go beyond just fixing the ticket in front of you.
This role sits exactly at that intersection of figuring out whether something is really a data problem or a process issue three systems downstream, fixing things at the source instead of correcting them manually every week, and asking whether a gap you're seeing in one client's data is actually a pattern across many.
Get the mapping right once, and every future client onboards faster.
As M5Wealth grows internationally, you will have the opportunity to work increasingly close to global clients, Product and Technology teams, with the potential to take on larger products, client segments and markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- As a Data Integration Specialist, you will work across the full data lifecycle for our wealth management clients in Asia and Europe: Integration → Data Forensics → Portfolio Diagnostics → Client Engagement → Product Input
- You'll work with wealth managers and family offices whose data is scattered across custodians, fund administrators, and legacy platforms — in different currencies, different formats, and updated on different schedules. Multiple asset classes. Multiple entities. And probably a workaround or two that exists simply because: "that's how the data has always come in."
- Your first job is to understand that world.
- You will dig into multi-asset client portfolio data to catch anomalies, reconciliation gaps and data issues before they become a problem — for the client, or for us. Ingest → Validate → Investigate → Explain → Resolve
- Don't assume the numbers are correct just because the feed ran. Challenge them.
- You are not just wiring up a pipeline. You are building a mental model of how the client's money is tracked.
- You will help analyze performance numbers — TWRR, MWRR — and explain what's actually happening in a portfolio, clearly enough that senior team members can review it before it ever goes to a client.
- A number without an explanation is just a number. Your job is to know why it moved.
- You have to get to know how each client works day to day: where the platform helps, where it breaks down, and what they end up doing manually instead.
- Every integration you complete should leave the system better than you found it.
- . Turn them into clear write-ups the Manager and product team can actually act on.
- The ambition is simple: the next client's data should be easier to trust than the last one's.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
- 4+ years working at a WealthTech platform, in portfolio management operations, or in the back or middle office of a financial institution.
- CFA OR a quant-focused degree in Finance/Economics/Mathematics OR MBA / Engineering Degree from a Tier 1 institute.
- Open to working from our Thane location, with willingness to relocate to our GCC/ global locations as role evolves.
IDEAL CANDIDATE
- You want to sit inside multi-asset, multi-currency portfolio data and find out what's really happening underneath the numbers.
- You want global exposure to the messy reality of wealth data: source systems, feeds, field mappings, reconciliations, performance calculations.
- You've worked hands-on with multi-currency financial data, asset allocation, and performance numbers, and have at least a working sense of how compliance and reporting rules change from one country to another.
- You're comfortable talking to wealth managers, private bankers, or family offices.
- You want to take a raw data problem, chase it to its root, and fix it so it doesn't come back.
- And over time, you want to become the person who understands a client's data world well enough to tell the product team exactly what needs to change.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- You can explain data and findings clearly to people inside the company, and you're working on getting comfortable doing that with senior clients too.
- : You don't just log a ticket and move on. You dig into why something went wrong, and who it actually affects, before you escalate or fix it.
- You can take messy, informal feedback from a client and turn it into something clear enough for someone else to act on.
- You're comfortable working in ambiguity, even chaos, and can make the best of a situation. You don't need a set process or SOP handed to you. You can build one for yourself and the team, and adjust it as needed.
WHAT WE OFFER
- An open-minded, collaborative culture built around enthusiastic technologists.
- Opportunity to work closely with the core / founding team.
- The chance to work directly with our customers and be part of the next evolution in the fintech space.
- The opportunity to grow with us as we expand, starting from our Thane base, with future prospects to work across the GCC as the business scales.
