Designation: Q.C. Executive (Packaging Material)
Qualification: B.Sc./M.Sc. (Chemistry/Microbiology/Life Sciences) or
B.Pharm/M.Pharm.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in Quality Control of packaging materials in the pharmaceutical, dental pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry only.
CTC: 18,000- 30,000/- P.M.
Job Purpose
To ensure that all packaging materials received for production comply with approved quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements through proper sampling, inspection, testing, documentation, and release/rejection activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform sampling and inspection of incoming packaging materials as per approved SOPs and sampling plans.
- Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of packaging materials such as cartons, labels, leaflets, aluminium tubes, caps, laminates, bottles, jars, and other packaging components.
- Verify artwork, printing details, batch coding area, color, text, barcode, and regulatory information against approved specifications.
- Ensure packaging materials comply with approved specifications before release for production.
- Prepare and maintain inspection reports, test records, COAs, and related QC documentation.
- Identify, segregate, and report non-conforming packaging materials.
- Raise deviation, OOS, OOT, and CAPA reports whenever applicable.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Purchase, and QA regarding material inspection status.
- Ensure proper identification and status labeling of approved, rejected, and quarantined materials.
- Maintain retention samples and packaging material reference standards.
- Calibrate, verify, and maintain inspection instruments and measuring equipment.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, GDP, and Data Integrity requirements.
- Participate in vendor qualification and supplier performance evaluation for packaging materials.
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing required records and documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping in the QC inspection area.
- Perform any other quality-related activities assigned by the QC Manager.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of GMP, GLP, and GDP.
- Understanding of packaging material specifications and artwork verification.
- Knowledge of sampling procedures and inspection techniques.
- Good documentation practices (GDP).
- Familiarity with CAPA, Deviation, OOS, and Change Control.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
- Good communication and analytical skills.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Timely inspection and release of packaging materials.
- Zero release of non-conforming packaging materials.
- Compliance with GMP and documentation requirements.
- Timely closure of deviations and CAPAs.
- Audit readiness with minimal observations.
- Accurate maintenance of QC records and retention samples.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹28,000.00 per month
