Job Summary:
The Automation Engineer will design, develop, and implement systems to automate various processes, improving efficiency and quality in production or business operations. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams, production, and product development, to identify opportunities for automation, design workflows, and troubleshoot system issues. Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Develop and implement automation systems to optimize workflows and production processes.
- Programming and Scripting: Write and modify scripts using programming languages & programming tools to automate processes.
- System Integration: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing systems, ensuring compatibility and efficiency.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct rigorous testing to ensure automated systems function as intended. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues during the testing phase.
- Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor the performance of automation systems to ensure continuous operation. Provide ongoing support, including maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvements.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of all automation processes, workflows, and configurations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of automation initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure that all automation systems comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in safety, quality, and data security.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in automation engineering or a related role, preferably in manufacturing automation.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in automation tools
- Experience with PLCs, HMI, VFD, SCADA, Servo systems & others.
- Familiarity with control systems, data acquisition, and testing frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with teams.
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
