Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

About the Role
Profenaa Automation is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing mechanical components, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using industry-standard CAD software while supporting product development and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Prepare assembly drawings, detailed part drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOM).
- Create sheet metal, weldment, and machine component designs.
- Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and customer specifications.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams for design implementation.
- Review and modify existing designs based on customer feedback and engineering requirements.
- Support prototype development, testing, and product improvements.
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and revision records.
Required Skills
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proficiency in one or more CAD software
- SolidWorks
- AutoCAD
- Creo
- CATIA
- Siemens NX
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals.
- Knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of sheet metal design, weldments, and machine design.
- Familiarity with machining, fabrication, and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with BOM preparation and design documentation.
- Basic knowledge of FEA and product development is an added advantage.
Experience
- Freshers with good CAD knowledge are encouraged to apply.
- 0–1 years of experience in mechanical design is preferred.
