Job Purpose:A customer service engineer provides on or off-site corrective or preventative maintenance and offers after-sales technical support solutions once a product has been sold.
Duties:• Designing, developing, and enhancing electro-mechanical systems and mechatronic devices;• Creating automated systems and the software to control them;• Conducting research, documenting findings, and presenting reports at meetings;• Developing operating documents for mechanical parts and final products;• Understanding problems or client briefs and developing solutions that satisfy them;• Selecting the required tools and materials for the manufacturing process;• Attending workshops, training sessions, and conferences to network with others and stay on top of field advancements;• responding to customer call-outs; • evaluating and resolving problems; • assisting with the installation of equipment; • liaising with and working alongside projects team; • offering customer training; • repairing, testing and maintaining equipment; • monitoring the performance of products; • providing customers with regular reports and feedback on their service requests; • developing and maintaining relationships with customers; • Identifying areas of weakness in the production line or finished products and making recommendations for improvement.
