A Senior Civil Engineer leads the planning, design, and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects. - Project Leadership: Manage civil engineering projects from conception to completion, coordinating with architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Design & Analysis: Develop detailed design plans, schematics, and cost estimates using software like AutoCAD or Civil 3D.
- Quality & Safety: Ensure all builds comply with industry standards, structural integrity rules, and health and safety regulations.
- Resource Management: Determine project budgets, scheduling, and staffing needs while actively monitoring cost controls.
- Mentorship: Guide and support junior engineers and technical staff.
Core Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree is often preferred).
- Experience: Typically 8–10+ years of progressive experience in civil engineering, construction, or Project Management Consulting (PMC)..
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, budget tracking, crisis management, and excellent communication.
