Job Summary
The Automotive Service Advisor is responsible for coordinating the end-to-end service process, acting as the primary link between customers, technicians, inventory, and management. The role ensures efficient workshop operations by managing customer service requirements, Repair Orders, service documentation, inventory coordination, workflow scheduling, and quality assurance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a Service Advisor
- Prior experience in the automotive or motor vehicle industry highly preferred
- Prior experience into supervising a shop floor team is advisable
- Intermediate understanding of automotive systems and service processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in using systems for data entry, scheduling, and record management
- Strong problem-solving and customer handling skills
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Administrative & Operational Coordination
· Ensure all service-related documentation, records, and filing systems are maintained accurately and updated on time.
· Coordinate daily workshop operations to ensure smooth communication between customers, technicians, inventory, and management.
· Monitor adherence to company processes, SOPs, and documentation standards.
2. Accounts & Documentation Management
· Prepare and maintain service invoices, estimates, payment records, warranty claims, and customer service history.
· Ensure all financial and service-related entries are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies.
· Support reconciliation of service documentation and maintain audit-ready records.
3. Inventory & Parts Coordination
· Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure timely availability of spare parts, consumables, and detailing materials.
· Maintain accurate records of stock issuance, consumption, and returns related to service jobs.
· Identify low-stock situations and proactively communicate replenishment requirements to minimize operational delays.
4. Customer Relationship Management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the service lifecycle.
· Understand customer concerns, accurately document service requirements, and provide professional recommendations.
· Communicate repair progress, delivery timelines, estimated costs, and service updates proactively.
· Resolve customer concerns professionally while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
5. Workshop & Technical Coordination
· Conduct an initial inspection of vehicles to capture customer complaints and visible observations before assigning work.
· Coordinate with technicians to monitor repair progress, clarify technical findings, and ensure timely completion of jobs.
· Escalate delays, technical challenges, or additional repair requirements to the Workshop Manager when necessary.
6. Service Planning & Workflow Management
· Create and manage Repair Orders (ROs) with complete and accurate job details.
· Schedule service appointments and prioritize workshop workload based on urgency, technician availability, and delivery commitments.
· Monitor job progress throughout the day to ensure efficient workshop utilization and on-time vehicle delivery.
7. Quality Assurance & Revenue Support
· Perform final service verification to ensure work has been completed as per the Repair Order before vehicle handover.
· Recommend preventive maintenance, detailing packages, coatings, accessories, or additional repair services that genuinely benefit the customer.
· Ensure every vehicle is delivered in clean condition with all quality standards met, reinforcing customer confidence and brand reputation.
· Support workshop productivity and revenue targets through effective service coordination, customer engagement, and process discipline.
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
