Job Title:Proofreader / Proofreading Editor

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Proofreader / Proofreading Editor to review and edit academic thesis manuscripts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of grammar, language, formatting, referencing, and academic writing. The ideal candidate will work closely with students and faculty to enhance the quality, clarity, and consistency of research documents while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to strict deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Proofread and edit thesis manuscripts for grammar, spelling, punctuation, syntax, and language accuracy.
- Ensure consistency in writing style, formatting, and overall document structure.
- Verify citations and references, ensuring compliance with Harvard Referencing standards.
- Check for factual accuracy, dates, statistics, and consistency wherever applicable.
- Review manuscripts for clarity, readability, coherence, and logical flow.
- Provide constructive feedback and communicate recommended changes with authors or academic coordinators.
- Ensure the originality of submitted work and identify any indications of previously published content.
- Review and approve final proof copies before submission for examination or publication.
- Coordinate with the academic team to ensure timely completion of proofreading assignments.
- Deliver the final edited thesis within 6–10 days from the date of assignment.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all academic documents, student information, and research materials.
Skills & Qualifications Required
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in English, Journalism, Literature, Communications, or a related field.
- Excellent command of written English with exceptional grammar and editing skills.
- Strong knowledge of academic writing and research documentation.
- Proficiency in Harvard Referencing and academic citation standards.
- High attention to detail and excellent proofreading ability.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and document formatting.
Preferred Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in proofreading, academic editing, publishing, or research documentation.
- Experience editing dissertations, theses, journal articles, or academic publications will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
