Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Data & BI Transformation Lead for a 4–5-month contract engagement to design and deliver a centralized FP&A reporting and analytics solution for a global manufacturing and distribution client.
This role will define optimal architecture, integrate disparate data sources, and deliver a scalable Power BI-based reporting ecosystem while also automating key financial reporting processes through Excel-based models and templates.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current reporting landscape across the existing data sources.
- Identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and automation opportunities
- Define optimal data architecture and recommend appropriate technology stack
- Design pragmatic data integration approach (without reliance on full-scale data lake)
- Build and manage data pipelines integrating multiple sources
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reusable semantic data models
- Enable self-service analytics through structured datasets
- Design and build Excel-based automation solutions including reporting templates, data collection tools, and financial models
- Develop specific models such as cash flow forecasting and operational/statistical reporting models
- Automate data consolidation and reporting workflows where possible
- Collaborate closely with FP&A consultants and business stakeholders
- Develop clear documentation for data models, reporting logic, and Excel-based solutions
- Conduct basic user training on Power BI dashboards and reporting templates
- Ensure structured handover with knowledge transfer and guidelines for ongoing maintenance
- Own end-to-end delivery within defined timelines
Required Skills & Experience
- Advanced expertise in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboard design)
- Strong hands-on experience in data architecture and integration
- Proficiency in SQL and data transformation techniques
- Strong Excel skills (advanced formulas, Power Query, data modeling)
- Experience building financial models (cash forecasting, planning, reporting)
- Strong understanding of FP&A processes (P&L, forecasting, variance analysis)
Preferred Experience
- Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric or similar modern data platforms
- Experience in delivering end-to-end BI transformations independently
- Consulting or client-facing delivery experience
Pay: From ₹70,000.00 per month
