We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and dynamic PRT English Teacher to join our primary school faculty.
Job Purpose
To spark a love for the English language and literature in young learners (Grades 1 to 5). The ideal candidate will build strong foundational literacy, communication, and reading skills while managing the unique, holistic schedule of a day boarding school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate English lessons aligned with the CBSE curriculum for Grades 1 to 5.
- Skill Development: Focus heavily on foundational LSRW skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing), introducing grammar, phonics, and creative writing through interactive methods.
- Classroom Management: Maintain a positive, vibrant, and inclusive classroom culture that encourages active student participation.
- Holistic Day Boarding Engagement: Actively participate in the extended day boarding schedule, including guiding students through remedial sessions, supervised study hours, and co-curricular literary activities (e.g., elocution, storytelling, drama).
- Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student progress, maintain detailed academic records, and provide constructive feedback to both students and parents during PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings).
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in English (B.A. English) or a related field, along with a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from a recognized university.
- Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of proven experience teaching primary grades (Grades 1 to 5), preferably in a reputed CBSE or day-boarding international school.
- Language Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills with flawless pronunciation.
