About the Role
We are looking for an IT Administrator & Internal Tools Developer to manage employee IT infrastructure while developing and maintaining internal software tools. The role combines IT administration, device management, technical support, security, and hands-on software development.
Key Responsibilities
- IT Administration & Device Management
- Manage company laptops, tablets, peripherals, procurement, setup, deployment, and retirement.
- Administer MDM tools, security policies, updates, and application deployment.
- Manage user accounts, access permissions, authentication, VPN, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace.
- Maintain IT asset inventory, device assignments, warranties, and repairs.
- Provide first- and second-line technical support.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues.
- Implement endpoint security, antivirus, patching, encryption, and backup policies.
- Manage employee onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- Maintain IT policies, procedures, and troubleshooting documentation.
Internal Tools Development & Maintenance
- Design, develop, and maintain internal web applications such as HR, expense reimbursement, and forecasting tools.
- Gather requirements from Finance, HR, and Operations and convert them into functional specifications.
- Develop and maintain demand forecasting tools.
- Handle bug fixes, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance of internal applications.
- Integrate internal tools with HRIS, accounting/finance systems, databases, and APIs.
- Manage databases, hosting, deployment, and backups.
- Ensure internal applications meet security, access-control, and reliability standards.
- Maintain technical documentation for applications and systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT administration or systems administration.
- Experience developing and maintaining internal tools or web applications.
Knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies.
- Familiarity with frameworks such as React, Node.js, or Django.
- Working knowledge of MDM platforms such as Jamf, Intune, or Google Workspace Device Management.
- Experience with user and access management such as Active Directory, Google Workspace, or Azure AD.
- Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Understanding of networking, endpoint security, and IT best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Ability to manage IT support alongside software development projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience developing internal tools for HR, Finance, or Operations.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Exposure to data analysis or forecasting concepts.
- Experience with Git and basic CI/CD workflows.
- Relevant IT certifications such as CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft, or Jamf certifications.
