A Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) – Biology is responsible for teaching senior secondary classes (XI–XII) with a strong focus on conceptual clarity, practical application, and exam-oriented preparation as per CBSE/ICSE/Cambridge or State Board curriculum. The role includes delivering engaging classroom lectures, conducting laboratory experiments, preparing lesson plans, designing assessments, and mentoring students for board examinations and competitive exams like NEET. A PGT (Biology) ensures integration of modern teaching methodologies, ICT tools, and activity-based learning to enhance understanding of topics such as Genetics, Ecology, Human Physiology, and Biotechnology. The teacher also maintains laboratory records, supports academic planning, participates in parent-teacher meetings, and contributes to overall student development through research projects, science exhibitions, and co-curricular activities.
