Digital and Technology Human Capital Management & Services team is looking for a Sr. Software Engineer that can develop and support Workday integrations and internal/external systems. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of Workday tools (Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF), strong technical skills, and a consultative approach to working with stakeholders across HR, IT, and third-party vendors.
Design, develop, and support moderate to complex Workday integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, and other Workday integration technologies.
Translate business and functional requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable integration solutions.
Apply integration design patterns, reference architectures, development standards, and best practices to deliver high-quality solutions.
Develop and deploy Workday integrations across multiple systems and technologies, ensuring accurate, secure, and timely data exchange.
Collaborate with Workday functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and third-party system owners to understand requirements and resolve integration dependencies.
Maintain, enhance, and troubleshoot existing integrations, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable technical solutions.
Monitor integration performance and proactively identify issues related to data quality, reliability, security, and system performance.
Participate in Workday releases, system upgrades, testing, and impact assessments to ensure integrations continue to operate effectively.
Perform full life cycle software development activities, including requirements analysis, technical design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and production support.
Investigate existing applications, legacy systems, databases, and interfaces to identify opportunities for reuse, optimization, and integration.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of business processes and provide technical recommendations that align integration solutions with business needs.
Collaborate with senior engineers and technical leads to evaluate and implement new technologies and integration capabilities that improve business processes.
Contribute to integration documentation, technical standards, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and contribute to a collaborative engineering environment.
Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new Workday functionality and integration technologies to support evolving business requirements.
Education: Minimum Qualification - Bachelor's degree
8+ years of overall experience with 5+ years in Workday Integrations.
Configure and develop integrations using Workday Studio, Workday Cloud Connect, Workday Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), PECI and other relevant tools.
Experience working with Workday SOAP and REST APIs.
Proficient in creating complex calculated fields and advanced reports.
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with ability to communicate complex technical concepts with technical and non-technical business partners at all levels.
Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks/activities and prioritize appropriately.
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Ability to work with contractors and 3rd party vendors to ensure a quality result on projects and enhancements.
