About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Purchase Engineer to manage procurement activities for engineering and manufacturing requirements. The candidate will be responsible for vendor development, cost negotiation, purchase planning, and ensuring timely availability of materials and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and develop reliable vendors for engineering materials, equipment, components, and fabrication requirements.
- Obtain quotations, compare commercial and technical offers, and negotiate prices and payment terms.
- Prepare and release Purchase Orders as per approved requirements.
- Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and ensure adherence to agreed specifications.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Quality, Stores, Accounts, and Project teams.
- Monitor material requirements, pending orders, deliveries, and vendor performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Ensure proper documentation, records, and compliance with company procurement procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering / related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Purchase/Procurement in an engineering or manufacturing company.
- Strong knowledge of engineering materials, fabrication, machinery, and industrial components.
- Excellent vendor negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Purchase software.
- Strong follow-up, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Immediate joiner or candidates with a short notice period preferred.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
