Manager Procurement & Supply Chain (Profit Centre Head – Commonlink) in Interiors, construction and wood working Industry

- Primary Objective: To run Commonlink as a highly profitable centralized procurement and trading unit, optimizing group margins through volume buying, vendor management, and strict supply timelines. Sourcing new products, tie ups, trade agreements, servicing network
Key Responsibilities
- Vendor Consolidation: Reduce your current vendor base down to a few strategic partners to unlock maximum volume discounts and long-term credit terms.
- Internal Material Trading: Formulate and manage the internal selling price (Cost + Markup) for all goods delivered to group companies.
- Inventory Control: Maintain optimal buffer stocks at the central warehouse without choking the group's active cash flow.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- The Background: Look for a Sourcing Manager from a mid-sized real estate developer, an interior turnkey firm, or a modular furniture manufacturing brand.
- Key Skillset: Deep, existing relationships with building material distributors and hardware manufacturers. They must be an aggressive negotiator who understands credit cycles, bulk rebate structures, and supply chain logistics.
CORE MANDATE
This position is answerable for one primary metric: The Trading Margin. They must run Commonlink like a lean, high-turnover wholesale distribution business.
- Generate Its Own Profit: You must negotiate corporate deals with raw material suppliers (plywood, laminates, hardware, steel, paint). They buy low, manage the inventory risk, and sell to your other verticals at a competitive market rate, keeping the difference as Commonlink's profit.
- Optimize Group Working Capital: You ensure group cash is not locked up in dead stock. They negotiate extended credit periods from vendors while keeping inventory turnover high.
- Enforce Quality and Turnaround SLAs: Prevent supply delayed or sub-standard materials to avoid the penalty, ensuring absolute accountability.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Total Experience: 4 to 6 years of hardcore sourcing and vendor management experience.
- Industry Background: Must have spent at least 3–4 years in the procurement division
- Primary Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Material Management , Commerce (B.Com). A technical background helps them verify raw material specifications, while a commerce degree ensures strong accounting logic. [1]
- Certification (Preferred): Professional certification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., CPM, CSCP) or a post-graduate diploma in Materials Management.

- Margin Optimization & Trading Mindset: Proven track record of moving from casual "retail or dealer purchasing" to "direct factory/mill sourcing" to unlock steep volume discounts.
- Contractual & Credit Negotiation: Strong capability to negotiate 30-to-60-day corporate credit lines with vendors to keep your group's cash flow flexible.
- Inventory Analytics: Expertise in setting up automated reorder levels (Min-Max inventory levels) using MS Excel or ERP systems so materials arrive just-in-time, preventing capital from being tied up in storage.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
