Job Description – Vendor Development Executive/ Engineer (Foundry & Machine Shop)

Job Summary
We are seeking a Vendor Development Executive with 2–5 years of experience in foundry and machine shop vendor development. The candidate will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, developing, and managing suppliers to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and timely delivery of castings and machined components.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new vendors for foundry and machine shop requirements.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities through audits and technical assessments.
- Source castings, forgings, machined components, and related manufacturing services.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
- Coordinate with engineering, quality, production, and procurement teams to meet project requirements.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.
- Drive supplier improvement initiatives to enhance quality and productivity.
- Resolve supplier quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Ensure compliance with company standards, technical specifications, and customer requirements.
- Maintain vendor database, documentation, and performance records.
- Support cost reduction, localization, and alternate vendor development initiatives.
- Visit supplier facilities for inspections, audits, and relationship management.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of foundry processes, machining operations, and manufacturing methods.
- Understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T, and quality standards.
- Experience in supplier evaluation, vendor audits, and vendor performance management.
- Good negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel for vendor visits.
Preferred Qualifications
- B.E. in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in vendor development for foundry and machine shop components.
- Exposure to automotive, heavy engineering, or industrial manufacturing sectors is an added advantage.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
