Roles & Responsibilities
- Teach various dance forms to students across primary and senior classes.
- Choreograph performances for:
- Annual functions
- Assemblies
- Competitions
- Inter-school events
- Cultural programs
- Train students in rhythm, coordination, expression, and stage presence.
- Conduct regular practice sessions and rehearsals.
- Prepare lesson plans according to age groups and skill levels.
- Encourage creativity, confidence, and teamwork among students.
- Maintain discipline and ensure student safety during practice.
- Coordinate costumes, props, and music for performances.
- Participate in school events, workshops, and PTMs.
Preferred Dance Styles
Schools usually prefer candidates with knowledge of one or more:
- Classical (Kathak, Bharatnatyam, etc.)
- Contemporary
- Western
- Bollywood/Fusion
- Folk dance
Eligibility Criteria
- Bachelor’s degree/diploma/certification in Dance or Performing Arts
- Prior school teaching or choreography experience preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
