- Greet and welcome visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area
- Schedule and confirm appointments or meetings
- Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries
- Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, filing, and document preparation. Many front office teams also use staff scheduling tools ware to streamline the process
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk
- Handle basic inquiries and provide accurate information to visitors and callers
- Support other departments with clerical tasks as needed
- Manage office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
