Job Description: GeM (Government e-Marketplace) and E-tendering Executive Role
Overview
The GeM Executive is responsible for managing the end-to-end operations on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other E-tendering portals.
This role requires a blend of administrative precision, technical knowledge of the platform, and a proactive approach to bidding and compliance.
You will be the bridge between the company’s products/services and government buyers.
Key Responsibilities Portal Management: Registering the company on the GeM and other E-tendering portals, maintaining the profile, and ensuring all certifications (MSME, NSIC, Start-Up India, etc.) are up to date.
Cataloging: Uploading products and services with accurate descriptions, specifications, and competitive pricing. Regularly updating inventory and OEM dashboards.
Bidding & Tendering: * Identifying relevant Direct Purchases, L1 Purchases, and Push Button opportunities. Analyzing Bids (Tenders) and RAs (Reverse Auctions). Preparing and uploading technical and financial documents for bid participation.
Order Management: Monitoring new orders, generating incident-free invoices, and coordinating with the logistics team for timely delivery.
Compliance & Liaison: Ensuring all transactions adhere to General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of Tendering portals. Resolving disputes or "incidents" raised by buyers on the portal. Payment Tracking: Following up on CRAC (Consignee Receipt and Acceptance Certificate) and ensuring timely realization of payments from government departments. Required Skills & Qualifications Category Requirement Education Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience 1–2 years of hands-on experience specifically with the GeM 4.0 portal.
Technical Skills Proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word is critical), digital signatures (DSC), and e-tendering. Knowledge Strong understanding of GFR (General Financial Rules) and government procurement cycles.
Soft Skills but not limited to:-
1) High attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to meet tight bid deadlines.
2) Performance Indicators (KPIs)Bid Win Ratio: Percentage of successful bids vs. total bids participated.
3) Order Fulfillment: Ensuring 100% on-time delivery and CRAC generation. Account Health: Maintaining a "Green" rating on the GeM vendor assessment dashboard. Error Rate: Minimizing technical rejections during the bid evaluation phase.
Work Environment This is typically a full-time office role. The executive must be comfortable working under pressure, especially during the "March Rush" (end of the financial year), when government procurement activity peaks.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
