What You’ll Actually Do:
-Take ownership of the political intelligence function across the assigned zone, ensuring comprehensive coverage of constituencies, key stakeholders, and political developments.
-Analyse political and social trends to identify emerging issues, shifts in voter sentiment, stakeholder perspectives, and changes in the local political landscape.
-Lead and oversee primary research through field visits, interviews, surveys, Focus Group Discussions(FGDs), stakeholder interactions, and other research methods.
-Conduct secondary research to analyse past and current political scenarios, constituency dynamics, electoral trends, key issues, and relevant developments.
-Build and maintain diverse information networks with political leaders, local leaders, political functionaries, journalists, community representatives, influencers, and other relevant stakeholders to gather ground-level intelligence.
-Engage with grassroots networks and interact with voters, local influencers, community members, political stakeholders, and other relevant groups to understand the political pulse of the region.
-Use investigative intelligence-gathering methods and multiple information sources to validate ground-level inputs and develop a nuanced understanding of political developments.
-Strong analytical skills, with knowledge of methods for synthesising qualitative and quantitative insights and translating them into actionable strategies and recommendations.
-Political Intelligence & Tracking: Track and gather political intelligence (PI) across assigned constituencies, including political developments, electoral trends, local political activity, socio-economic developments, and emerging issues.
-Prepare concise, structured reports on constituencies, voter cohorts, political developments, key issues, and other relevant areas.
-Translate research and field findings into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.
-Serve as a key point of contact for the central and leadership teams for the assigned region and coordinate with relevant local stakeholders as required.
-Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and discretion while handling sensitive political and stakeholder information.
Skills & Qualifications:
-2-5 years of relevant experience in political consulting, research, public policy, governance, journalism, or related fields.
-Strong understanding of Karnataka’s political, social, cultural, and geographic landscape.
-Strong research and analytical skills.
-Ability to conduct interviews, surveys, and qualitative field research.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Comfortable with extensive field travel and stakeholder interactions.
-Kannada proficiency is mandatory.
