To expand our reach and drive business from southern Odisha, we are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Sales Executive for our Berhampur regional office.
Role Summary
As a Sales Executive based in Berhampur, you will be the driving force behind expanding our market presence and driving group footfalls to our Puri resort. You will be primarily responsible for B2B sales, focusing on acquiring group bookings from schools, colleges, corporate houses, and local travel agencies across the Ganjam district and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be an energetic field-sales professional with strong local networks, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven ability to meet and exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & B2B Sales: Identify and pitch to schools, colleges, coaching institutes, and corporate offices to secure bulk bookings for picnics, corporate outings, and offsite events at the resort.
- Travel Trade Partnerships: Build and maintain strong relationships with local travel agents, tour operators, and transport providers in Berhampur to generate consistent B2C and group leads.
- Field Sales & Lead Generation: Conduct regular market visits across Berhampur and neighboring towns to build a robust sales pipeline and generate new leads.
- Target Achievement: Take ownership of monthly and quarterly sales targets, ensuring consistent revenue growth from the assigned territory.
- CRM & Sales Reporting: Maintain daily activity logs, update lead status in the company CRM, and provide regular sales reports to the management team.
- Local Brand Promotion: Assist the marketing team in executing local promotional campaigns, distributing marketing collateral, and representing the brand at regional trade events or exhibitions.
Qualifications and Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
- Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in field sales, business development, or B2B sales, preferably within the hospitality, travel, FMCG, or event management sectors.
- Local Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of the Berhampur and Ganjam district market, with an established network of local institutions and travel agents.
- Communication: Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Fluency in Odia, Hindi, and English is mandatory.
- Mobility: Must possess a valid driving license and a personal two-wheeler for daily market visits.
- Attributes: Target-driven, highly persuasive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
