Senior Infrastructure Architect – Enterprise Infrastructure & Hybrid Cloud

Looking for a highly experienced Senior Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure architecture, virtualization platforms, networking technologies, and hybrid cloud solutions. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, implementing, governing, and optimizing secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
This role requires strong technical expertise in enterprise networking, virtualization platforms, compute infrastructure, hybrid cloud integration, and infrastructure architecture. The candidate should also possess a good working understanding of enterprise storage, backup, disaster recovery, and infrastructure resiliency.
The candidate will collaborate with cloud, storage, security, application, platform engineering, and operations teams to modernize enterprise infrastructure while ensuring scalability, performance, operational excellence, and business continuity.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise infrastructure architectures across compute, networking, virtualization, and hybrid cloud platforms.
- Develop scalable, secure, and resilient infrastructure solutions supporting mission-critical business applications.
- Design enterprise networking solutions including routing, switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, load balancing, and network segmentation.
- Architect highly available virtualization environments using VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
- Collaborate with cloud teams to design hybrid infrastructure integrating on-premises data centers with Microsoft Azure.
- Define infrastructure standards, architecture principles, and governance for enterprise platforms.
- Lead infrastructure modernization, data center transformation, technology refresh, and migration initiatives.
- Perform infrastructure capacity planning, performance optimization, and lifecycle management.
- Work closely with storage teams to integrate enterprise SAN, NAS, and backup solutions into the overall infrastructure architecture.
- Ensure infrastructure designs meet business continuity, disaster recovery, security, compliance, and operational resilience requirements.
- Evaluate new technologies and provide architectural recommendations aligned with enterprise strategy.
- Participate in technical solution reviews, architecture governance boards, and design approvals.
- Create High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), architecture diagrams, standards, operational documentation, and implementation runbooks.
- Awareness of industry best practices for data center security, compliance, and operational governance.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement secure infrastructure designs following enterprise security standards.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and configuration management activities within enterprise IT environments.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to infrastructure engineering teams.
Qualifications and Skills
- 10–12 years of experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture, virtualization, networking, or hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in enterprise networking concepts including TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls, and Load Balancers.
- Extensive hands-on experience with VMware technologies including ESXi, vCenter, HA, DRS, vMotion, and virtual infrastructure design.
- Good understanding of Hyper-V environments and virtualization best practices.
- Experience designing highly available and resilient enterprise infrastructure solutions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure infrastructure services and hybrid cloud connectivity.
- Awarness of enterprise storage technologies including SAN, NAS, Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, and SMB/CIFS.
- Familiarity with enterprise storage platforms such as NetApp, Dell EMC.
- Basic understanding of enterprise backup, replication, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Some experience with Windows Server, Linux administration, Active Directory, DNS, and identity services.
- Exposure to Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible is advantageous.
- Working knowledge of automation and scripting using PowerShell and/or Python.
- Experience with infrastructure monitoring and observability platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills within enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and technical documentation skills.
- Experience working in ITIL-aligned enterprise operational environments.
Preferred Certifications
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- TOGAF Certification (Preferred)
Pay: ₹1,900,000.00 - ₹2,400,000.00 per year
