Job Summary:
The quality engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality and process compliance in roll forming operations. The role involves implementing quality control systems, conducting inspections, resolving quality issues, and ensuring customer requirements are met through continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor in-process and final inspection of roll-formed components.
· Ensure dimensional accuracy as per customer drawings and specifications.
· Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI).
· Verify incoming raw material quality (CR/HR coils, GI sheets, etc.).
· Maintain inspection records and reports.
· Implement and maintain a Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO standards.
· Develop control plans, SOPs, and inspection standards.
· Conduct process audits and product audits.
· Ensure proper calibration of measuring instruments.
· Lead root cause analysis using 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, 8D, and FMEA methodologies.
· Handle customer complaints and implement corrective & preventive actions (CAPA).
· Prepare PPAP documents (for the automotive sector if applicable).
· Coordinate internal and external audits.
· Analyze quality KPIs (PPM, Rejection %, Rework %).
· Support Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives.
· Improve process capability (Cp, Cpk).
· Attend customer audits and quality meetings.
Required Skills & Competencies:
· Strong knowledge of the sheet metal roll forming process.
· Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.
· Knowledge of measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM).
· Understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 standards.
· Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication and coordination skills.
Educational Qualification:
Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in a quality function in the roll forming / sheet metal manufacturing industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹20,825.82 - ₹35,422.02 per month
