Qualification
- B.Pharm / M.Pharm (as applicable)
- Registered with Chandigarh/ State Pharmacy Council
- Relevant hospital pharmacy experience preferred
Experience
- 1–3 years in hospital/clinical pharmacy
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense medicines as per valid prescriptions issued by authorized medical practitioners.
- Ensure correct drug, dose, route, and frequency before dispensing.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for medicines including temperature-sensitive drugs.
- Monitor stock levels, expiry dates, and ensure timely indenting and replenishment.
- Maintain pharmacy records including purchase, issue, and consumption registers.
- Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements (Drugs & Cosmetics Act).
- Counsel patients regarding proper use of medicines, dosage, and precautions.
- Coordinate with doctors and nursing staff for medication-related queries.
- Handle emergency and night duty pharmacy services as per hospital policy.
- Ensure cleanliness, organization, and discipline in the pharmacy area.
- Report adverse drug reactions (ADR) and medication errors to concerned authority.
- Assist in audits, inspections, and inventory verification.
Skills & Competencies
- Good knowledge of medicines and formulations

- Basic computer knowledge (HIS/Pharmacy software preferred)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure
