- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality goods and services
- Manage the procurement process from start to finish, including identifying potential suppliers, negotiating contracts, and monitoring supplier performance
- Work closely with other departments to ensure the availability of materials and supplies required for production and operations
- Oversee inventory management, including the tracking of inventory levels, identifying trends, and implementing measures to minimize stockouts and overstocking
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and other external stakeholders
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) for the purchase and operations departments and identify areas for improvement
- Manage and motivate a team of purchasing and operations professionals, providing leadership, guidance, and support as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality products and services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in purchasing and operations management, and incorporate new ideas and technologies as appropriate
