Key Responsibilities
- Installation: Mounting cameras, running video/power cables (coaxial, Cat5/6), and installing recording equipment (DVR/NVR).
- Configuration & Setup: Programming IP addresses, setting up recording schedules, motion detection, and remote viewing on mobile devices or computers.
- Maintenance & Repair: Conducting routine inspections, cleaning lenses, replacing faulty components, and updating firmware to fix bugs.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving image quality issues, connectivity problems, and power failures.
- Site Surveys: Assessing locations for optimal camera coverage and security.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate logs of installations, repairs, and system configurations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Experience: Generally 2+ years of experience with security, surveillance, and access control systems.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of low-voltage electrical systems, networking protocols, and video technology.
- Tools Proficiency: Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, and cable testers.
- Physical Ability: Capability to work at heights (ladders), in confined spaces, and lift equipment.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and customer service skills.
