Role Purpose
An English Teacher is responsible for teaching reading, writing, grammar, and literature while fostering communication skills and critical thinking. The role goes beyond academics, inspiring students to appreciate language, culture, and self-expression.
Key Responsibilities
- Lesson Planning: Develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Language Instruction: Teach grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and pronunciation.
- Literature Analysis: Guide students in interpreting prose, poetry, and drama.
- Writing Development: Train students in essays, reports, creative writing, and research papers.
- Student Assessment: Evaluate progress through assignments, tests, and projects.
- Classroom Engagement: Encourage debates, discussions, and critical thinking.
- Technology Integration: Use digital tools and online resources to enhance learning.
- Parent Communication: Provide updates on student performance and behavior.
- Extracurricular Activities: Organize literary clubs, contests, and field trips.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in English or Education; B.Ed. mandatory. Master’s preferred.
- Certification: State teaching license/certification as per local regulations.
- Skills: Strong communication, patience, organizational ability, and cultural sensitivity.
- Preferred: Experience with diverse learners, digital teaching tools, and passion for literature.
Pay: Up to ₹18,188.37 per month
