We are looking for experienced Development Engineers – Powertrain (PWT) to join our automotive engineering team in Chennai.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in powertrain product development, strong knowledge of automotive components, and experience working with OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the development of powertrain and automotive components from concept to production.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely product development and delivery.
- Manage product development activities for components such as powertrain, chassis, forging, casting, and sheet metal parts.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including APQP-related deliverables.
- Participate in design reviews and product validation activities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to resolve technical issues and drive project milestones.
- Support CAD-related activities using CATIA when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
- 3–5 years of experience in automotive product development.
- Experience with powertrain components, chassis components, forging, casting, and sheet metal parts.
- Basic working knowledge of CATIA.
- Strong product development and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with APQP and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Automotive OEMs or Tier-1 suppliers.
- Immediate joiners are preferred.
