Mechanical Design & Development
- Design and develop packaging machinery, conveyor systems, filling machines, sealing machines, capping machines, labeling machines, cartoning machines, and other automation equipment.
- Prepare conceptual layouts based on customer requirements and project specifications.
- Develop complete machine designs from concept to final production release.
- Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
- Design machine frames, fabricated structures, sheet metal parts, machined components, and mechanical assemblies.
- Design mechanisms involving cams, gears, sprockets, chains, shafts, bearings, couplings, and drive systems.
- Develop machine layouts ensuring optimum functionality, maintainability, and safety.
- Perform design modifications and improvements on existing machines.
- Ensure machine designs comply with engineering standards and company requirements.
Product Development
- Participate in new product development activities.
- Study market trends and competitor machine designs.
- Develop innovative machine concepts to improve productivity and machine performance.
- Work closely with management to develop advanced packaging solutions.
- Assist in prototype development and testing activities.
- Contribute to research and development projects for new machine technologies.
Engineering Calculations & Analysis
- Perform design calculations for machine components and assemblies.
- Calculate loads, stresses, power requirements, torque, speed, and structural integrity.
- Conduct tolerance analysis and fitment calculations.
- Ensure proper selection of mechanical components based on application requirements.
- Verify design feasibility considering manufacturing and assembly constraints.
CAD Modeling & Documentation
- Prepare detailed part drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Generate General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Create exploded assembly views and installation drawings.
- Maintain drawing revision control and engineering records.
- Develop complete Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Prepare spare parts lists and machine documentation.
- Create standard design libraries and templates.
- Maintain all design files and engineering databases.
Manufacturing Support
- Coordinate with the Production Department during machine fabrication and assembly.
- Provide technical support for manufacturing-related issues.
- Clarify drawings and specifications for production teams.
- Resolve design-related problems during fabrication and machine assembly.
- Visit shop floor regularly to monitor manufacturing activities.
- Ensure designed components are manufacturable and cost-effective.
- Support procurement teams in technical evaluation of purchased components.
Vendor Coordination
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors regarding technical specifications.
- Review vendor drawings and technical documents.
- Assist in component selection and sourcing activities.
- Evaluate alternative materials and components for cost optimization.
- Support vendor development activities.
Pneumatic & Automation Integration
- Design and integrate pneumatic systems for packaging machinery.
- Prepare pneumatic layouts and component selection.
- Coordinate with Electrical and Automation Engineers for machine integration.
- Ensure compatibility of mechanical systems with sensors, motors, drives, and control systems.
- Assist in machine automation and motion control projects.
Machine Assembly & Testing
- Participate in machine assembly and trial runs.
- Verify assembly fitment and functionality.
- Conduct machine performance testing.
- Analyze machine issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
- Assist during customer inspections and machine demonstrations.
Installation & Technical Support
- Provide engineering support during machine installation when required.
- Assist service teams in troubleshooting mechanical issues.
- Recommend modifications and improvements based on field feedback.
- Support machine upgrades and retrofitting projects.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards.
- Follow engineering design procedures and documentation requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure designs meet safety, reliability, and operational requirements.
- Support ISO documentation and quality management systems.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for machine performance enhancement.
- Improve machine reliability and ease of maintenance.
- Work on cost reduction and value engineering projects.
- Standardize machine components wherever possible.
- Improve design processes and engineering efficiency.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹59,000.00 per month
