Manager – Network Operations Center (NOC)
Role Summary
The Manager – Network Operations Center (NOC) will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Centralized NOC for KP Group's Solar and Wind portfolio. The role focuses on ensuring efficient real-time monitoring, plant performance optimization, generation maximization, incident management, KPI tracking, and operational excellence.
The Manager will lead the NOC operations team, coordinate with Asset Management, O&M, SCADA, EPC, and other cross-functional departments to ensure high asset availability, timely issue resolution, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement of operational processes.
Key Responsibilities
NOC Operations Management

Manage the daily operations of the Centralized Network Operations Center (NOC) for Solar and Wind assets.

Ensure continuous 24×7 monitoring of all operational assets through SCADA and monitoring platforms.

Supervise alarm monitoring, incident response, escalation management, and operational reporting.
-
Ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and escalation matrices.

Coordinate shift operations to ensure uninterrupted monitoring and operational support.
Plant Performance Management

Monitor plant performance across the Solar and Wind portfolio.

Track and review key operational KPIs including:

Identify performance deviations and coordinate with O&M teams for timely corrective actions.

Monitor generation losses due to equipment failures, grid outages, communication issues, curtailment, and weather conditions.

Support implementation of initiatives to improve generation and operational efficiency.
Performance Analysis & Reliability
-
Conduct detailed performance analysis using SCADA and operational data.
-
Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring operational issues.
-
Monitor equipment reliability trends and recommend preventive measures.
-
Analyze inverter, tracker, turbine, and communication system performance.
-
Coordinate implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
-
Prepare periodic reliability and performance reports.
Reporting & Analytics
-
Ensure timely preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
-
Develop dashboards and KPI reports using Power BI, Excel, and SCADA tools.

Present operational performance summaries to senior management.
-
Support data-driven decision-making through detailed analytics and reporting.
Cross-Functional Coordination
-
Coordinate with Asset Management, O&M, SCADA, EPC, and IT teams for effective issue resolution.

Ensure timely communication and escalation of critical operational events.
-
Support commissioning, testing, and integration of new projects into the NOC.

Participate in operational review meetings and performance discussions.
Team Leadership
-
Lead Assistant Managers, Engineers, Analysts, and Shift Engineers within the NOC.

Allocate work, monitor team performance, and ensure achievement of departmental KPIs.

Conduct regular technical training and knowledge-sharing sessions.
-
Mentor team members and support competency development.
-
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
Process Improvement & Compliance
-
Ensure compliance with operational procedures, contractual obligations, and regulatory requirements.
-
Identify opportunities for automation and process improvements within NOC operations.
-
Conduct periodic audits of monitoring systems, reports, and operational processes.
-
Support implementation of digital initiatives for enhanced operational efficiency.
-
Ensure data accuracy, reporting quality, and timely closure of operational incidents.
Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
-
Master's Degree in Power Systems, Renewable Energy, or Business Administration will be an added advantage.

8–12 years of experience in Renewable Energy Operations, Performance Engineering, SCADA, Asset Management, or Centralized Monitoring.

Minimum 3 years of experience leading NOC or plant performance teams.

Experience in utility-scale Solar and Wind projects is preferred.
