Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing all electrical systems, machinery, and equipment across the production facility, warehouse, and retail outlets. The role ensures uninterrupted operations by minimizing equipment downtime while maintaining safety, hygiene, and food industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, panels, wiring, and lighting.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery and utilities.
- Troubleshoot electrical faults in ovens, mixers, packaging machines, refrigeration units, air compressors, HVAC systems, and other food processing equipment.
- Maintain motors, pumps, control panels, sensors, PLC-connected equipment, and electrical drives.
- Ensure uninterrupted power supply by monitoring DG sets, UPS systems, and electrical distribution panels.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Replace faulty electrical components, cables, switches, relays, contactors, MCBs, and circuit breakers.
- Monitor electrical load and ensure efficient power utilization.
- Maintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
- Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations, food safety standards, and company SOPs.
- Support installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the maintenance workshop and work areas.
Qualifications
- ITI/Diploma in Electrician, Electrical Engineering, or a related trade.
- Valid Electrician License (where applicable).
- 2–5 years of experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in the food manufacturing, FMCG, bakery, or confectionery industry.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems and control panels.
- Experience in troubleshooting production machinery.
- Basic understanding of PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Familiarity with electrical testing tools and instruments.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond quickly to breakdowns.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Awareness of workplace safety and hygiene requirements.
Working Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in production environments.
- May be required to work at heights or in confined spaces following safety procedures.
- Availability for emergency maintenance and breakdown support.
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
