The IT Hardware Support Executive is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting computer hardware, peripherals, networking devices, and end-user systems. The role ensures smooth functioning of IT infrastructure by providing timely technical support and minimizing system downtime.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware-related issues promptly.
- Perform hardware upgrades and replacements as required.
- Maintain inventory of IT assets and accessories.
- Provide first-level and second-level technical support to users.
- Troubleshoot operating system, software, and hardware issues.
- Respond to user service requests and resolve incidents within defined timelines.
- Assist employees with system setup and troubleshooting.
- Support LAN, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and network devices.
- Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for issue resolution.
- Monitor network performance and report abnormalities.
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance of IT systems and equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of UPS systems and power backup devices.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Track and maintain IT hardware inventory.
- Update asset registers and equipment allocation records.
- Coordinate procurement and disposal of IT equipment as per company policy.
- Ensure antivirus and security updates are installed on all systems.
- Follow IT security policies and data protection guidelines.
- Report security incidents and vulnerabilities to the IT Manager.
- Maintain service logs, troubleshooting records, and inventory documentation.
- Prepare periodic reports on hardware performance and support activities.
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
- Hardware and Networking certification preferred (A+, N+, CCNA, etc.).
