About the Project
We are building brand, a modern online marketplace for the UK where people can buy, sell, and discover products and services. The long-term vision is to create one of the leading marketplace platforms in the UK.
This is an opportunity to join at the beginning of the company and work directly with the founder to build the product from the ground up.
Your Responsibilities
- Design clean, modern UI/UX using Figma.
- Develop the frontend using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Build scalable backend APIs.
- Design and manage PostgreSQL databases.
- Implement authentication and authorization.
- Build a secure admin dashboard.
- Develop search, categories, user profiles, messaging, and listing management.
- Optimize website speed and SEO.
- Deploy and maintain the application.
- Fix bugs and continuously improve the platform.
- Work closely with AI-assisted development tools to increase productivity.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of Full-Stack development experience.
- Strong experience with:
- Next.js
- React
- TypeScript
- Node.js
- PostgreSQL
- Prisma ORM
- Tailwind CSS
- Good UI/UX design skills.
- Experience using Figma.
- REST API development.
- Git and GitHub.
- Responsive web design.
- Secure coding practices.
- Experience deploying production applications.
Preferred Experience
Experience building one or more of the following:
- Marketplace platforms
- Classified websites
- E-commerce platforms
- SaaS products
- Social platforms
Experience integrating:
- Stripe
- Google Maps
- Cloud storage
- Real-time chat
- Search functionality
