Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting
- Maintain accurate books of accounts for the assigned branch.
- Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries.
- Verify and reconcile daily sales transactions with the POS/ERP system.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
- Monitor branch expenses and ensure proper accounting of all transactions.
- Verify supplier invoices and process payments as per company procedures.
Cash & Banking
- Verify daily cash collections and prepare cash closing reports.
- Reconcile cash balances at the end of each business day.
- Perform bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Coordinate cash deposits and maintain banking records.
- Monitor and account for petty cash transactions.
Inventory Accounting
- Account for inventory purchases, transfers, returns, and adjustments.
- Reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Assist in periodic stock verification and annual stock audits.
- Investigate inventory variances and report findings to management.
- Ensure proper documentation for all inventory-related transactions.
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
- Assist internal and external auditors by providing required information.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
Reporting
- Prepare daily sales and cash reports.
- Generate monthly financial and management reports.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and payables.
- Provide financial data and analysis to management for decision-making.
Experience
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the retail or jewellery industry.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and branch accounting.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
