Job Description
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Program Lead with 10+ years of deep technical and leadership expertise to spearhead our flagship PKVY project. This role is designed for a strategic professional who will not only ensure compliance and operational excellence but will also drive the scaling, certification, and market integration of our organic farming initiatives. The successful candidate will act as the principal authority for all agronomic strategy, stakeholder governance, and FPO development, ensuring our project sets the benchmark for sustainable agriculture in the region.
Core Strategic Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale agriculture and organic farming projects, ensuring all outcomes align with long-term organizational goals.
- Organic Certification Architect: Oversee the integrity and implementation of complex certification frameworks, including NPOP, NOP, Naturland, and Fair Trade, managing Internal Control Systems (ICS) to ensure audit readiness.
- Supply Chain & Market Integration: Architect and manage robust supply chains for organic produce, ensuring traceability, quality control, and efficient logistics for domestic and export channels.
- FPO Ecosystem Development: Lead the formation, governance, and business scaling of Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), facilitating long-term financial viability and market linkage.
- Governance & Stakeholder Advocacy: Represent the organization in high-level liaisons with government departments, research institutions, and international certification bodies to ensure project expansion.
- Performance & Impact Monitoring: Implement advanced MIS frameworks to evaluate project impact, optimize resource allocation, and deliver high-level reporting for donors and stakeholders.
- Capacity Building & Field Excellence: Lead technical capacity-building programs, empowering field teams and farmer networks with climate-resilient and organic techniques.
Professional Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, or Rural Development.
- Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of documented, progressive experience in managing large-scale agriculture projects.
- Technical Mastery: Proven track record in ICS management, organic certification standards, and successfully leading multi-location field operations.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage diverse teams, navigate government compliance (PKVY/PGS), and execute high-stakes strategy.
