Job Summary
The Head Teller is responsible for managing all cash counter operations in the showroom, ensuring accurate billing, cash handling, customer service, and supervision of teller/cashier staff. The role includes monitoring daily cash transactions, handling customer payments, maintaining billing accuracy, and coordinating with accounts and store management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage daily operations of the cash counter/teller team.
- Ensure accurate billing and receipt generation for customer purchases.
- Handle cash, card, UPI, and other payment transactions efficiently.
- Verify daily cash collections and prepare cash closing reports.
- Maintain proper records of sales transactions and refunds/exchanges.
- Ensure smooth coordination between sales staff and billing counters.
- Resolve customer billing issues and payment-related queries.
- Monitor teller performance and provide training when required.
- Ensure compliance with company cash handling policies and procedures.
- Coordinate with Accounts Department for daily cash deposit reconciliation.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial transactions and company data.
- Ensure proper opening and closing of billing counters.
- Monitor shortages/excess cash and report discrepancies immediately.
- Support showroom operations during peak business hours.

Qualification
- Any Degree / Diploma preferred.
- Experience in textile retail billing or cashier operations preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 0–2 years experience in retail cashiering/billing operations.
- Prior experience in textile showroom operations preferred.
