Job Position : Quality Civil Engineer

Role Summary
The Jr. Quality Engineer will support the site Quality Lead in implementing and monitoring the project’s QA/QC plan across structural, architectural, and interface works. You will be responsible for day-to-day inspections, documentation, and coordination to ensure first-time-right execution, reduced rework, and timely closure of NCRs and punch list items. Your work will directly impact handover quality, client satisfaction, and adherence to Bala Infra’s internal quality standards.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine and stage-wise inspections for RCC, formwork, reinforcement, blockwork, plaster, waterproofing, and finishing works as per approved drawings, ITPs, and IS codes.
- Assist in setting up and maintaining site quality processes, including inspection checklists, material approval workflows, sampling/testing protocols, and quality logs.
- Prepare, review, and maintain QA/QC documentation such as ITPs, checklists, Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and test reports in coordination with the Quality Lead.
- Coordinate with site execution teams, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure timely inspections, resolve quality issues, and close NCRs and punch list items within defined timelines.
- Monitor material quality (concrete, steel, blocks, plaster materials, waterproofing systems, finishes) and ensure compliance with IS codes, project specifications, and approved samples.
- Support interface coordination between civil and MEP works to avoid clashes, rework, and quality defects, especially in shafts, wet areas, and service zones.
- Prepare daily/weekly quality reports, maintain first-pass inspection acceptance records, and provide inputs for management reviews and client/consultant meetings.
Must Have
Essential requirements
- B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering with 3-5 years of experience in QA/QC on building projects (preferably high-rise or commercial)
- Hands-on experience with site quality inspections for RCC, formwork, reinforcement, blockwork, plaster, waterproofing, and finishing works
- Practical knowledge of IS codes and relevant standards for concrete, steel, materials testing, and workmanship for building projects
- Experience in preparing and maintaining QA/QC documentation such as ITPs, checklists, MIRs, WIRs, NCRs, and test reports
- Ability to coordinate with site execution teams, contractors, and consultants to close NCRs and punch list items within defined timelines
- Strong documentation and reporting skills in MS Excel/Word, including maintaining quality logs and tracking first-pass inspection acceptance
- Willingness to work full-time at site in Kharadi with flexibility for extended hours as per project needs

Bonus qualifications
- Exposure to quality systems such as ISO 9001 or internal QMS implementation on construction projects
- Experience on high-rise towers (25+ floors) with MIVAN/Aluform or similar formwork systems
- Basic understanding of MEP quality interfaces with civil works in high-rise and commercial office projects
- Prior experience with EPC contractors or reputed Grade-A developers/PMCs
- Working knowledge of snagging/punch list management tools or digital QA documentation platforms
