Hospital IT Applications Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Hospital IT Applications Manager to oversee the implementation, adoption, operations of our hospital’s IT applications. This role is responsible for managing hospital information systems (HIS) and related applications. The ideal candidate will ensure seamless operations and adoption of technology to enhance patient care, hospital operations and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the digitization, implementation, adoption and operations of all the hospital’s IT application systems, including HIS, EMR, PACS, LIS, RIS, Data Analytics and other systems.
- Collaborate with internal user teams to design, map the clinical/health process to optimize workflows, enhance adoption and bring in operational efficiency.
- Lead Health IT application projects, including new technology implementations as per the clinical, business and operational needs.
- Ensure compliance with relevant/applicable healthcare regulations in India (NABH, NMC etc.)
- Provide operational excellence ensuring 24x7 availability and performance of all critical hospital application systems
- Oversee the continuous training for medical and non-medical members to enhance adoption of digital tools.
- Manage IT budgets, vendor relationships for IT application services and software.
- Stay updated on emerging healthcare technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BE/BTech Information Technology, Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, or a Master’s in a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in IT Application Program/Project management (agile, scrum, sprint methodologies) with proficiency in implementing healthcare systems and processes
- In-depth knowledge of HIS/HIMS and related systems
- Strong understanding of healthcare industry standards (HL7, FIHR protocols) and regulations, including NABH, NMC guidelines
- Skilled in project management, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
