Key Responsibilities:
- Plan procurement of direct and indirect materials in line with the production plan, shortage schedule, and PO release.
- Follow up with suppliers and coordinate with SQA to improve supplier quality performance.
- Monitor supplier performance, including delivery, quality, and premium freight management.
- Develop new suppliers with a focus on quality, cost, and delivery (QCD).
- Drive cost reduction initiatives while ensuring zero production line stoppages.
- Prepare and present various MIS reports to management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in the automobile industry is mandatory.
- Candidates from axle manufacturing companies will be given preference.
- Willingness to travel to supplier/vendor locations (approximately 30% travel).
- Strong supplier management, negotiation, and coordination skills.
