We are seeking a results-driven and highly organized Factory In-charge to oversee our daily manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for coordinating all factory activities, from production scheduling and resource allocation to quality control and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production management, a "safety-first" mindset, and the leadership skills necessary to manage a diverse workforce.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Management: Plan, implement, and monitor the daily production schedule to ensure all targets are met on time and within budget.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and provide leadership to factory staff, including technicians, machine operators, and laborers. Manage shift rosters and performance evaluations.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all finished goods meet company and industry quality standards. Implement corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and implement Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintenance Oversight: Coordinate with the engineering team for the preventive maintenance of machinery to minimize downtime.
- Inventory & Logistics: Oversee the receipt of raw materials and the dispatch of finished goods. Maintain accurate stock records.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols and local labor laws.
- Reporting: Prepare and present daily/weekly production reports to senior management regarding output, efficiency, and costs.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a factory supervisory or management role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP software (SAP/Oracle) and MS Office (especially Excel).
- Leadership: Proven ability to manage a large team and handle conflict resolution effectively.
- Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise between the floor staff and executive leadership.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods on the factory floor.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (may include noise, temperature variations, etc.).
